We had a great time on our spring fling!
Us MCC members met at the Pettit Ice Center amd headed north to Fon Du Lac to meet up with the CCCC group. From there we headed
Northeast to Elkhart Lake to Road America, probably the best road racinc course in the country.
We met members from the Northeast Wisconsin Corvair Club
at the track. We all parked together at the car show area of Road Americas family picnic day which featured Vintage Racing.
There were a lot of real neat vintage cars taking part in
the racing, although some of us are getting to be vintage too so the cars didn't seem all that vintage!
Afterwards it was a scenic drive to Chesters Drive In in
Plymouth,WI where we grabbed a bite to eat and relax before bidding farewell to the NE group and leaving on a drive through
the Kettle Moraine area led by Andy Kinzelmann. In Lomira we said our goodbyes to the Madison group and headed back to the
Milwaukee area. Again the weather was perfect, we did have a few rain drops fall on us at dinner, but other than that it was
blue skys with some puffy white clouds.
